Christopher Nieper is keynote speaker at the ASBCI Conference

ASBCI, the Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry, is hosting a ‘Making it in the UK- Ready or not?’ event on 25th February 2014 to look at the reality of manufacturing fashion in Britain.

ASBCI

The keynote presentation ‘British designed and British made – The magic ingredients’ will be delivered by Christopher Nieper, managing director of UK-based nightwear and women’s wear fashion brand David Nieper. He will challenge modern UK-manufacturing models and reveal how the vertical company has adapted its business model to deliver continuous growth, even during the recession.

Kate Hills, founder of Make it British, describes Christopher Nieper as “one of the most inspiring people in UK garment production today. His family-owned company has been manufacturing exclusively in Britain for over 50 years, and every part of the process is done in house. From design, knitting, stitching and even printing his own mail order catalogues – he is a great example of how to make in the UK and get it right.” – See more at: Making it in the UK – ready or not?
