David Nieper saddened by Courtaulds closure and urges staff to get in touch

Christopher Nieper says the company is deeply saddened by the closure of Courtaulds in Belper, who have been neighbours for many years and one of the few remaining textiles manufacturers in the UK.

Christopher urged staff to get in touch with the David Nieper HR team – a consequence of designers taking their manufacturing overseas for cheap labour has been the shortage of skilled machinists and seamstresses in the UK.

Sky News were on the Vote Leave campaign trail this week, when  former London Lord Mayor, Boris Johnson visited the David Nieper fashion house to make a speech and take questions from staff concerning the impact of a Brexit on the UK.

Gisela Stuart MP and Managing Director, Christopher Nieper also took some of the questions relating to negotiating a better deal for British businesses trading in Europe.

Daily Mail Reports on Boris Johnson’s Visit to David Nieper Factory

The article quotes from former London Mayor Boris Johnson’s visit to the David Nieper factory on 16th May when he compared the EU to “some badly-designed undergarment that has now become too tight in some places, far too tight, far too constrictive, and dangerously loose in other places.”
