Ahead of chancellor George Osborne’s autumn statement on Wednesday 5th December 2012, David Nieper’s managing director Christopher Nieper spoke to the Guardian about how the Derbyshire-based clothing firm had continued to grow throughout the recession, and what the government can do to help British manufacturers.
David Nieper, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2011, has thrived while most of Britain’s textiles industry has disappeared by keeping its manufacturing in the UK and direct selling of quality products at home and abroad.
