Made in Britain fashion house David Nieper has unveiled its new collection of fashions for the autumn/winter season, featuring elegant styles beautifully cut from an array of flattering and luxurious fabrics.

Designing and manufacturing in the UK for over 50 years, David Nieper design collections specially with the 50+ woman in mind, with a commitment to exceptional cut and fit that beautifully contours in a flattering silhouette.

The new season’s luxurious range has been beautifully tailored in rich autumnal shades, contemporary pastels and jewel coloured Liberty prints. The fabrics have been twinned with super-soft yarns in fine Merino wool and Cashmere, offering a collection with something to suit every occasion.

                                               

Following visits to New York, Paris and Florence by the design team this year, inspiration for the new collection has been born from themes as diverse as Bohemian Rhapsody, Candy Crush, To the Manor Born, Folk Tales and Print Works.

Elizabeth Edwards, Head of Design at David Nieper explained:

“We always start with the fabric, we experiment and play with the materials to see how they behave and withstand rigorous testing. Our design team is always surrounded with swatches of new materials so we can consider the suitability of each for specific garments and sizes. We also examine how they interact with and reflect other fabrics.

We work closely with the pattern cutters and merchandisers to see which styles have sold well in previous seasons. At David Nieper our customers are very loyal and know what they like. In this year’s range we have revisited some of the classics and recreated them with a new twist, as well as adding some brand new shapes and styles. Our gorgeous pure wool coat this season is in powder blue and now available in two lengths.”

The Intarsia sweater from this season’s new collection is new but based on the shape of one of our best-selling knitwear designs in fine Merino wool. The bold angular pattern in cool blues and greys has been inspired by the urban Manhattan skyline, offering our customers a fresh, contemporary take on a design they love.

Our challenge with every collection is to create clothes that are glamourous, feel great and work hard to flatter us.”

The Moon shadow fabric which graces the cover of the Autumn/Winter 2015 catalogue, brings out the vibrant and luminescent shades of winter and autumn against solid black and warm grey on uncrushable stretch crepe. The fabric has been fashioned into an elegant dress and tunic offering customers an eye- catching yet simple ensemble.

Similarly, the warm, rich natural shades of autumn such as papaya and spice are carried though and offset against classic navy and have been styled into a figure flattering collection, including a fully lined jersey dress and tunic, with soft easy-to- wear straight leg trousers, versatile top, maxi skirt and infinity scarf.

Another star of the Autumn/Winter 15 collection is a Candy Crush inspired ultra-feminine, super-soft, powder blue, pure wool coat that is available in a modern long line or shorter easy-to-wear style, perfect teamed with classic grey check or plain charcoal trousers.

The natural world theme with inspiration taken from Bohemian Rhapsody and Folk Tales, has been carried through in the Floral Fusion and Navy Snowdrop fabrics, where the cool colours of winter are captured and twinned with rich raspberry coloured knitwear and beautifully tailored into a silk jersey dress, and stunning stretch jersey skirt offering effortless elegance.

One of the design team’s favourites this year is a Liberty silk tailored shirt, elegantly cut from 100% pure silk fabric in classic navy and dotted with fresh winter snowdrops.
