The Telegraph – David Nieper’s Commitment to Keeping Production in the UK

David Nieper’s managing director Christopher Nieper reveals to the Telegraph that the secret to the company’s success is its stubborn faith in UK manufacturing and a near-obsession with vertical integration. While much UK fashion manufacturing has moved offshore and is reliant on overseas producers, David Nieper sees the value of keeping production in Britain.

David Nieper designs and manufactures all its lingerie, nightwear and women’s clothing in Derbyshire and has established its own fashion manufacturing academy, which provides paid internships, competitions for local schoolchildren and post-graduate qualifications. David Nieper employs over 200 highly skilled people, and is committed to investing in Britain and rekindling the fashion manufacturing industry in the UK.
