After Business secretary Vince Cable attacked energy giants for not using enough home-grown and local suppliers, which could signal an end to long-haul transportation in supply chains, Business Reporter asked the question whether it’s time for supply chains to go local.

Christopher Nieper, managing director of David Nieper luxury womenswear who employs over 230 people in Derbyshire, was quoted in the article: “Sourcing as much as possible locally makes good business sense.”
